MongoliAid launches GobiCare

April 15th, 2013

Today (15 April 2013) MongoliAid International Inc. officially launches in living colour – GobiCare.

Since 2009 MongoliAid has funded the construction of three water projects in Mongolia – a well for the Scout Association of Mongolia, a well for the people of Tsogt Tsetsii in the South Gobi and a $135 000 water project in Bayangovi in the province of Bayankhongor.

In February 2013 MongoliAid completed a decade long series of shipments of blankets to Mongolia, 11 shipping containers with 31 000 blankets since 2004.

MongoliAid is poised to begin a fourth water project in Bayanlig later this year.

We are determined to continue to work together with the Mongolian people today and tomorrow. MongoliAid has therefore created GobiCare to safeguard the future of our water projects and to help the traditional ways of life in the Gobi to survive and thrive.

“GobiCare Water” is our first and most important program. We have established a term deposit that is exclusively designed to fund the construction, maintenance and upgrading of existing and new water projects in the Gobi. The interest earned on that deposit will be directed to targeted projects when the term deposit reaches $250 000. We aim to reach our goal as soon as possible but no later than the year 2020.

MongoliAid  hopes others who have a 20-20 vision for a better world, will donate to our term deposit. That donation will never be lessened and will promulgate into the future as we will only ever apply the interest component to our projects.

To donate, please contact MongoliAid for details.

MongoliAid is also planning “GobiCare-Blankets” and ‘GobiCare-Life”. These programs will ultimately run in parallel with each other, and thus help us make the world a better place, one Mongolia at a time.
